A lathe with a powerful, maintenance-free motor. The feed gears are silent, oil-bath-filled , and feature a rounded shape.
The prismatic gray cast iron bed has reinforcing ribs and is induction hardened and precision ground, as are the guideways. The taper is short and the spindle nose is hardened. The main spindle shaft is hardened and mounted on precision tapered roller bearings. The slide handwheels have adjustable fine graduations, divisible 0.04/0.01 mm. High-quality materials and precise finishing characterize the OPTIMUM parallel lathe, delivering outstanding performance.
The lathe has the self-centering concentric rotation accuracy ≤0.04mm, while that of the spindle nose is ≤0.009mm.
Thanks to the control panel, right-left rotation can be easily engaged.
The lathe's leadscrew is mounted on two bearings, the tool holder has four compartments, and all slides are adjustable via tapered gibs. The tailstock and fine-division handwheel are adjustable by 0.02 mm. The tailstock is easily and quickly adjusted using the locking lever. Turning is also easy: the tailstock moves by ± 5 mm.
Note the gear set for the thread.
For user safety, the OPTIMUM parallel lathe features a chip guard on the upper slide. It also features an emergency switch and a minimum voltage relay.
