The jib crane is a structure made of a beam hinged to a column, so that it can rotate. A translation unit to which the lifting unit is linked must slide on the beam, which is the runway. This structure facilitates handling operations.
The SAPORITI column crane is made up of a profiled steel column and a normal profiled steel arm. The connection between the arm and the column takes place via pins that rotate on bearings. Thanks to the adjustable braking device, the push rotation of the arm can be adjusted. The rotation of the arm, therefore, takes place by pushing and covers an area of 270 degrees along the entire length of the arm.
The specificity of the column crane is its installation: the column is fixed to the floor by means of a very thick plate on which the fixing holes are drilled which reach the foundation plate. For fixing to the floor, special foundation cages with threaded tie rods are supplied, suitable for any type of column. The SAPORITI column crane is supplied with a layer of anti-rust paint and a coat of zinc chromate for finishing, so as to be very resistant to external agents.
The travel unit and the lifting unit are not included with the crane: therefore, the trolley and the hoist are not included in the supply. The hoist can be purchased separately, the range of electric hoists type PT PHOLGOR is available

The manually rotated jib crane has intuitive operation. The crane lifts the load vertically via the hook of the lifting unit (hoist). Once the load has been lifted, it is translated along the radial axis of rotation of the arm. The translation unit consists of a carriage. The controlled work area, therefore, is delimited by the rotation radius of the arm.
It is recommended to comply with the appropriate use of the equipment and to respect the limits of use of the same to safeguard the operators and the handled load.
The jib crane is the ideal solution for serving a single workstation. The cantilever crane maximizes the hook stroke, i.e. the maximum distance between the hook and the floor, and optimizes the available height.
The column crane is highly appreciated for its simple but extremely functional structure.
