XPROXXON DIAMOND TOOLS FOR GLASS, CERAMIC AND PLASTIC
proxxon diamond tools from the Micromot line are designed for precision work on very hard and brittle materials such as glass, ceramic, porcelain and semi-precious stones.
The electroplated diamond coating ensures controlled removal and a fine finish, making these wheels, bits, and discs ideal for engraving, grinding, and small technical cuts. All tools feature a 2.35 mm shank compatible with the Micromot system.
Micromot Precision with Galvanic Diamond Coating
proxxon diamond tools use diamond powder applied via a galvanic bond , ideal for working on materials that would quickly wear out traditional abrasives. They are particularly suitable for glass, ceramic, stoneware, porcelain, hard stone, and brittle materials requiring controlled removal.
Advantages of the Diamond System
- Cutting and engraving of hard materials: glass, ceramic, porcelain, semi-precious stones.
- Fine finish: The diamond allows for precise grinding without excessive chipping.
- 2.35mm shank: compatible with all Micromot rotary tools.

Technical Advice
Cooling: Always use water or coolant to avoid overheating the electroplating binder.
Speed: Keep tools within the recommended range (approximately 15,000–20,000 rpm).
Tightening: For maximum precision, use Micromot 28940 collets instead of the self-tightening chuck.
