The FD 150/E Proxxon precision lathe is the ideal tool for those seeking maximum accuracy when machining small pieces of metal, plastic, or wood. Thanks to its compact design and powerful DC motor, it allows you to perform flat, longitudinal, conical, and concave turning operations, as well as cutting and drilling with extreme ease.

Equipped with a hybrid transmission system that combines a 2-speed belt with additional electronic adjustment, this lathe reaches 5,000 rpm , ensuring the perfect cutting speed even for the smallest diameters. Stability and precision are ensured by the aluminum base with dovetail guides and handwheels with micrometric adjustment.

Stability and Precision Mechanics (Made in Europe)

The FD 150/E lathe stands out for its robust yet lightweight construction, weighing approximately 4.5 kg. The base is made of continuously cast aluminum with ground dovetail guides, ensuring smooth, vibration-free movement of the carriage and tailstock.

High Performance Engine and Transmission

  • Power and Control: The special DC motor is silent and durable, controlled by full-wave electronics that maintains high torque even at low revs.
  • 2-Speed System: The belt drive offers two mechanical positions: Stage 1 (800 – 2,800 rpm) and Stage 2 (1,500 – 5,000 rpm).
  • Safety: It has a main switch with emergency stop function and protection against accidental restart.

Operator Spindle and Spindle

The main axis is mounted on precision bearings and has an 8.5 mm through hole . On the spindle side there is a bore for ER 11 type collets. A 3-jaw self-centering chuck with a capacity of 1.5 to 50 mm thanks to the reversible jaws is supplied.

Carriage and Counterhead

  • Slides: The upper slide has a travel of 60 mm (rotatable to +/- 45° for conical turning), while the cross slide has a travel of 40 mm.
  • Turret: Supports 6 x 6 mm tools.
  • Tailstock: Made of die-cast aluminium, with rotating tailstock (MK 0/short attachment).
  • Micrometric Precision: The handwheels have zero-adjustable graduated rings: 1 turn corresponds to 1 mm, while each single notch represents an advancement of 0.05 mm .
