Since October 2018, HITACHI has launched the new HIKOKI brand, promoting the transition from HITACHI power tools to HIKOKI high performance power tools : lighter, more compact and high-performance tools, no longer subject to wear and tear and which do not require ordinary maintenance.
These are the features that make HIKOKI power tools great:
- MULTI VOLT BATTERY FOR DUAL VOLTAGES 36V/18v
- BRUSHLESS MOTOR
- Li-ion BATTERIES
- RFC STOPS ROTATION IN CASE OF A SUDDEN BLOCKAGE
- TRIPLE HAMMER TRIPLE HAMMER MECHANISM THAT REDUCES VIBRATIONS
- IP56 PROTECTION FROM DIRECT WATER JETS AND VERY DUSTY ENVIRONMENTS
- AHB RESISTANT ALUMINUM MOTOR BODY
- UVP ANTI-VIBRATION TECHNOLOGIES
- LVH CUSHIONED HANDLE
The AHB construction, dedicated to higher-end power tools, features double internal insulation for the motor body. The motor body is made of die-cast aluminum , a material chosen for its strength. The stator support is made of plastic. This solution provides greater rigidity to the entire housing, a feature that demonstrates its advantages in resisting wear and tear over time.

What are the advantages of HITACHI Brushless technology?
This is an electronic motor: all functions are managed electronically, making it more reliable. Since there are no brushes , the machine's efficiency increases by 50%. The brushes are the component of the motor that require routine maintenance; without them, the machine requires no maintenance. Furthermore, the absence of brushes also means there are no dangerous sparks or friction . Without sparks, there is no risk of damaging the switch, which operates more precisely even at low speeds. The current flowing through the switch is minimal: just enough to control the machine's microcomputer. The brushless motor does not overheat , so the operating temperature increases without damaging the machine. If the pressure on the switch is increased, the rotation speed increases precisely, giving the user maximum control over the torque transmitted by the tool. This electronic management also means that half the force required to operate the switch is required compared to a traditional tool. This means that on long-lasting jobs, the user benefits significantly. With a brushless motor, the operating life of the HITACHI power tool also increases.
HITACHI's new AC Brushless technology was designed to serve construction sites : thanks to this innovation, all tools are not affected by typical voltage drops due to the types of power supplies used, such as excessive extension cords or power generators. HITACHI tools do not lose voltage and are not damaged by voltage fluctuations: the electronic control circuit ensures that the power remains constant. Furthermore, HITACHI AC Brushless technology allows for significant energy savings .
HITACHI technology development is also aimed at improving user health and protection, as well as increasing tool performance . The protection systems and devices that limit the vibrations transmitted during machine use have changed.
How does HITACHI's new anti-vibration technology work?
The LVP Low Vibration Handle is a device that absorbs vibrations thanks to special cushioned handles.
UVP is the innovative User Vibration Protection that reduces machine vibrations from within, without limiting performance. Vibrations are reduced by 33% thanks to the resonance between the frequency of the tool's mechanical parts and that of the dynamic damper.
The combination of these two systems makes the use of HIKOKI power tools truly comfortable .
Vibrations are also reduced thanks to the TRIPLE HAMMER , Hitachi's exclusive triple-impact technology. It reduces vibrations because it delivers three impacts for each rotation, one more than conventional machines.
You can choose which electronic mode to work in, depending on your needs. With the Soft and Normal modes , the machine operates with 3 impacts per rotation. With the Power mode, you reduce the impact rate to 1.5 impacts per rotation, ideal for carrying out jobs with heavy loads. With the Self-Drilling Screws mode, you still operate at 1.5 impacts per rotation but with a progressive start and stop when the torque is reached.

What is RFC protection for demolition hammers and drill drivers ?
The Reactive Force Control protection , thanks to a sensor, recognizes if the motor jams and intervenes to block the tool and prevent injury to the user.
HIKOKI by HITACHI is a true guarantee: a dense network of service centers led by a central technical support center, as well as a large spare parts warehouse serving all of Italy with a fast delivery service, guarantees continuous and timely assistance. After each repair, each power tool undergoes a very thorough inspection. A great new feature is the possibility of extending the product warranty to 3 years by registering the purchase of the power tool and batteries within one month. HITACHI is so confident in its new brushless technology that it has extended the warranty for this type of motor's components to 5 years.
