With the Dremel printer, you can achieve excellent quality objects. Dremel printers extrude the filament in layers as thick as a sheet of paper, with an exceptional thickness of 100 microns (0.10 mm). This means you can obtain well-finished objects with attention to detail.
The Dremel IDEA BUILDER printer has been revamped to be even easier to use and safer: the 3D40 has been equipped with an innovative extruder ; no print is destined to fail and only wonderful projects will emerge from the printer. The pre-installed extruder is a first in the world of 3D printers; users don't have to worry about it, just create and have fun with their IDEA BUILDER 3D40 3D printer.
Also innovative is the new worktop, even larger to allow for the creation of large projects (25.4 x 15.2 x 17 cm), 30% more work area than the previous model.
Using the Dremel 3D printer is incredibly easy : with assisted leveling, you can always be sure the machine is set up correctly. With the "Quik Level" function, the build surface is monitored by sensors and always placed in the optimal position.
Thanks to a 1-year warranty and UL safety certification, you can be sure that you have purchased a safe product, suitable for use by the whole family (it is recommended that children not be left alone to monitor the printer, especially during the initial printing phase).
3D printing fosters creativity , starting with the proposed projects and moving on to create new, increasingly complex models. The projects you find in the Dremel gallery can be easily modified using Autodesk software . You can change the proportions, some details, or completely overhaul the designs to create new ones. You can check whether your changes are feasible with the “Automatic Repair” function before sending the project to print, so you don't waste even a millimeter of filament. To achieve the best possible print position for your model, you can use Print Studio's “Automatic Layout” function, so you can be assisted down to the last detail—it's like having a professional always at your side. If the model is too large to reduce, you can use the flat cut function , which allows you to print the models in two parts and then glue them together.
The Dremel 3D40 printer can only create objects from .3dremel files. The included software is compatible with .g3drem, .3dremel, and .STL files. You can prepare the files in any design software, but files must be saved in .3dremel (3D40) format with 3D Builder. Print Studio was developed jointly with Autodesk and offers more features and support to create the best possible prints. Print Studio automatically adds supports to ensure high print quality, but if you want to remove the supports before slicing, go back to the "Supports" section and remove them. Print Studio will no longer add them.
The DREMEL printer can also be operated remotely . For this purpose, it has a safety device that monitors the doors and prevents the printing process from starting if they are open. This prevents anyone from having their hands inside the print area while it is in operation, a dangerous situation due to the temperatures reached by the extruder. During printing, if the door is opened, a warning appears on the screen: personal safety is always under control.
