Where does Power Stream Technology come from?
From the development of SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply) inverter technology, which Telwin applied to the automotive sector. The SMPS inverter solution made it possible to reduce the size and weight of the battery manager, improving efficiency because less energy is lost through heat dissipation from the components (which overheat in traditional technology). This efficiency leads to a significant reduction in the energy costs used by the tool.
How does the Battery Manager differ from a traditional battery charger?

Doctor Charge, in particular, extends battery life thanks to its advanced maintenance function for recovering sulfated batteries. Sulfation is the typical condition that leads to battery degeneration, hence the concept of desulfation, the process of recovering and restoring the battery.
Batteries work through a chemical reaction . This electrochemical reaction, which on the one hand provides energy, also leads to the degeneration of the components themselves, reducing their energy storage capacity.
Sulfation, therefore, is nothing more than the generation of lead sulfate crystals created by the combination of lead electrodes discharging in an acidic electrolyte solution. The crystals deposit on the surface of the plates, affecting their efficiency. Recharging is the reverse process, that is, the reabsorption of the crystals into the electrolyte solution; with recharging, the battery returns to its original state.
This non-reverse operation does not eliminate 100% of the crystals; therefore, the residues accumulate over time and eventually damage the battery. Desulfation is the process that forces the charging phase, improving its efficiency, thus allowing the complete reabsorption of the sulfate crystals, returning the electrolyte solution to its initial density. This process occurs through pulses, which disaggregate the crystals, physically breaking the chemical bonds.
Battery disuse accelerates the sulfation process, as it self-discharges. Furthermore, modern cars have many devices that drain battery power. It's therefore essential to have efficient battery managers for charging and maintaining the charge to safeguard battery health.
