The Airtec Mod. 359D LL straight impact wrench is a professional, ultra-powerful pneumatic tool designed for heavy-duty vehicle tire repairers, bus fleets, construction vehicle and agricultural machinery repair shops, and heavy-duty metalwork. Its balanced straight body, with a handle and extended barrel, allows for the application of significant torques on heavy-duty fasteners up to M42, even in hard-to-reach places.
The 6,000 rpm pneumatic motor ensures high screwdriving speed, while the presence of the integrated 3-position flow inverter/regulator allows for accurate dosage of force to avoid overtightening.
Technological Insight: How the MECHONEER® Batting System Works
The patented MECHONEER® mechanism developed by Airtec is a hybrid impulse system that combines the Twin Hammer and Pin-less construction principles, reducing the number of moving components subject to wear.
The Mechanics of the Hybrid Mechanism:
- Twin Hammer Concept: The drive shaft (anvil) is driven simultaneously by a double hammer for a balanced, symmetrical and very high energy impact.
- Pin-less concept: the blades are guided by the cage, which is dragged directly by the rotor stem without the use of intermediate pins subject to breakage.
- Concentricity and Perfect Alignment: A centering pin connects the rear of the shaft to the rear of the rotor, ensuring perfect alignment between the rotor, cover, and cylinder. This eliminates misalignment, eliminates vibration, and prevents internal engine air leaks that would otherwise cause power losses.
- Leak-Proof Sealed Cover: The rear cover is sealed with the cage, keeping the lubricating grease inside the hammers and preventing premature wear.
- Through-Bolt Assembly: The engine structure is held in place by through-bolts that prevent the components from moving over time.
