The innovative internal processing system
In traditional dies, inserting the tool into a damaged thread at the end is extremely difficult and risks creating a crooked thread, removing valuable metal. The unique design of the BGS 8691 overcomes this limitation:
- Breakdown into two halves: The two halves of the thread dresser are opened and manually mounted directly on the undamaged part of the thread (the innermost one, closest to the hub).
- Exit machining: Once the two halves are positioned and secured with the included special holder, the tool is unscrewed, working toward the damaged end of the thread. This way, the tool follows the path of the original healthy thread and perfectly realigns the deformed section at the end.
