Proxxon Abrasives for Cleaning, Satin Finishing and Sanding

The Proxxon Micromot line of abrasives offers a complete selection of tools for working metal , non-ferrous metals , wood , and plastics . Each product is designed to ensure controlled removal, a uniform finish, and a long service life.

Types of Abrasives Available

1. Nylon Fleece Brushes – 2.35 mm Shank

• 28282 – 20 mm diameter abrasive fleece circular brushes. Ideal for cleaning, satin finishing, and light finishing.

2. Corundum Sanding Discs – 3 mm Shank

• 28982 – Set of 10 pcs (120/150 grit), Ø 18 mm.
• 28983 – Set of 20 pcs (120/150 grit), Ø 18 mm.

3. Corundum Abrasive Heads – 3 mm Shank

• 28987 – Ø 13 mm, grit 80/150.
• 28989 – Ø 9 mm, grit 80/150.

4. Shaped Sanding Belts – 3 mm Shank

• 28980 / 28981 – Ø 10 mm, grit 150.
• 28978 / 28979 – Ø 14 mm, grit 120.

5. Elastic Flap Wheels – 3 mm Shank

• 28984 – Ø 20 mm, grit 120.
• 28985 – Ø 30 mm, grit 120.

Typical Applications

• Cleaning and satin finishing of metal surfaces.
• Removal of light oxidations.
• Wood sanding and preparation for painting.
• Controlled finishing of plastics and soft materials.

Note: Not suitable for glass, ceramic or hard steels.

Operational Advice

Use coarser grits for initial removal and switch to finer grits or nylon fleece for finishing. For maximum precision, we recommend using Micromot 28940 collets .
