The proxxon brushes and cleaning brushes from the Micromot 2025 line are high-quality accessories designed for the surface treatment of metals, alloys and technical materials.

This professional range allows you to perform cleaning, derusting, deburring, and satin finishing operations with extreme precision. Thanks to the standard 2.35 mm shanks, they are perfectly compatible with all Micromot drill/milling machines. The availability of different materials (steel, brass, and stainless steel) and different geometries (brush, cup, and disc) guarantees the ideal solution for every laboratory need, from restoration to fine mechanics. For optimal safety at high rpm, we recommend using the MICROMOT 28940 steel collets .

Professional Efficiency in Surface Treatment

The proxxon Cleaning Brushes offer superior performance thanks to the quality of the metal filaments used, selected to resist mechanical wear without deforming excessively during use.

Material Selection Guide:

  • Steel: Ideal for deep cleaning, rust removal, deburring sharp edges and satin finishing of ferrous metals and steels.
  • Brass: Softer than steel, it is suitable for polishing and finishing non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper, brass) and precious metals. It has the advantage of not scratching delicate surfaces.
  • Stainless Steel: Specifically designed for machining stainless steel components. The use of stainless steel brushes prevents rust from contamination (caused by carbon residue from standard steel brushes).

Operational Shapes and Geometries:

  • 8mm diameter brush: Perfect for reaching difficult spots, internal cavities and holes.
  • Cup diameter 13 mm: Optimal for working on flat or slightly concave surfaces.
  • A 22 mm diameter disc: Shaped to operate precisely on edges, corners and grooves.

Technical Note for Use: Let the brushes work only by applying light pressure and at the recommended speed !

Excessive pressure forces the individual filaments of the brush into excessive bends; centrifugal force then straightens them again. This excessive wear drastically reduces their resilience and inevitably leads to premature breakage of the filaments .
