This backing pad features a unique ribbed pattern on the contact surface. This geometric structure allows for the pressure to be concentrated on the individual abrasive grains of the disc, significantly optimizing performance and drastically reducing heat buildup due to friction during intense work.

This backing pad is not a standalone product, but serves as a critical support for the following systems:

  • 3M Fibre Discs: This is the reference accessory and ideal support for the entire range of fibre discs produced by 3M.
  • 3M™ Cubitron™ II Systems: Specifically optimized to unlock the potential of Cubitron™ II fiber blades (including the 982C and 987C models). Combined use allows for longer blade life and maximum cutting speed, reducing overall operating costs.
