To be used with angle grinders with a diameter of 125 mm and at least 1400 W of power. The 982 C CUBITRON II fiber disc is high performance and suitable for heavy metal removal.
If used with the CUBITRON II 3M RIGID RED BACKING PAD FOR FIBERED DISCS you will get the maximum performance from your fiber disc
Characteristics of the fiber disc: PSG ceramic mineral in triangular shape with double resin binder and vulcanized fiber support.
CUBITRON II is a newly developed and patented 3M mineral, designed to improve processing performance. The advantages for the operator are: less fatigue, reduced vibrations and less noise. With the help of the right PPE, the use of the fiber disc does not involve any discomfort or risk.
The difference with a normal fiber disc is the orientation of the mineral on the support. Since everything is positioned in the same direction, the edges also remain sharp while the job is being performed. Furthermore, the double resin binder improves the anchoring of the mineral on the support, which therefore does not crumble.

3M™ Cubitron™ II is the generation that introduced the microreplicated PSG ceramic grain, revolutionising the way metals are cut and ground.
It is ideal for metal steelwork, industrial maintenance, welding and work on carbon steel, stainless and structural steels.
The range includes cut-off discs, fibre discs, flap discs, grinding discs and dedicated 3M ribbed backing pads.
Compared to traditional ceramic abrasives, Cubitron™ II ensures cooler cutting, less friction and a significantly longer service life.
Professionals choose it for consistent machining speed and an extremely competitive cost per piece.
Mistake to avoid: applying too much pressure, because the grain should not “plough” the workpiece but cut it cleanly.
Technical tip: always pair the correct 3M backing pad to keep the cutting geometry, reduce overheating and improve the finish.
