The Tecnica 171/S is a direct current (DC) inverter power source for MMA and TIG (scratch ignition) electrodes, designed for flexibility of use and operational stability. Thanks to its advanced technology, it can work on various metals while always guaranteeing a clean, professional weld bead.

Arc Control Devices

To optimize each work session, the welder integrates three fundamental electronic devices:

  • Arc Force: Facilitates the transfer of molten metal drops, preventing the arc from going out when the electrode comes into contact with the workpiece.
  • Hot Start: Provides an initial surge that facilitates the ignition of the electric arc at each restart.
  • Anti-Stick: Automatically turns off the generator if the electrode sticks to the material, allowing it to be removed without damaging the electrode holder.

Safety and Compatibility with Motor Generators

The generator is equipped with a complete set of protections (thermostatic, overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent) and is designed for use with motor generators (+/- 15%) , ensuring the integrity of the electronic components even in unstable power conditions. The IP23 protection rating also makes it suitable for outdoor use.
