DINAMITEK PRESENTS HIKOKI LITHIUM POWER TOOLS
Dinamitek presents the new Hikoki lithium batteries
New Hikoki lithium batteries: discover all the advantages
Cordless power tools no longer have anything to envy of corded power tools.
We're witnessing a major technological revolution. Until a few years ago, cordless tools were less powerful, appreciated for the freedom cordlessness afforded, but limited in terms of battery life and power. Today, things have changed significantly.
All manufacturers, by switching to lithium batteries in place of Ni-Cd and Ni-MH, have extended the life of the batteries both in terms of autonomy per charge and average life of the product.
Power tool experts like Hikoki have gone much further, bringing new batteries to market with the same dimensions but higher energy density. These new batteries offer countless advantages:
- they are not affected by the memory effect
- They have an electronic protection circuit that monitors each individual cell
- increase the working autonomy of the tool
- Service life increases by 300%: 1500 full charge cycles guaranteed

The new batteries have a capacity of up to 6.0 Ah, so they can truly cover all fields of application on construction sites, even the most massive ones.
Since Hikoki's technological development aims to create technologically advanced products in line with current market needs, it does not neglect the issue of energy impact: the new batteries are eco-friendly, are produced with low environmental impact and are completely recyclable at the end of their service life.
Since technological breakthroughs have been so diverse over the years, the intelligence of a manufacturer aiming to become a top-of-the-line brand lies in finding the best way to combine the various developments to achieve even greater results. To increase the performance of Hikoki batteries, they were used with a power tool equipped with a brushless motor. This combination resulted in a 50% increase in battery life on each charge cycle.
The brushless motor requires no routine maintenance. It also allows for electronic control of all functions, resulting in greater reliability. This feature extends the tool's service life.

Returning to the new Hikoki lithium batteries, these are equipped with a short-circuit protection device that monitors each individual cell. During charging, they ensure that no battery cell is overloaded with a voltage exceeding the limit. If a cell is charged, it is automatically disconnected from the power circuit, allowing the other cells to be charged safely. During discharging, the protection device also monitors the limit, obviously using the lower limit as a parameter. If for any reason a cell discharges before the others, it is disconnected from the main circuit, allowing the others to continue supplying power to the tool without damaging the battery itself. However, if the limit is exceeded by the entire battery, such as during heavy and continuous use, the entire power system shuts down. This interruption is what protects both the battery and the tool from irreparable damage.
This type of function is found in all high-end lithium batteries. How do Hikoki batteries differ? In the technological development of its products, Hikoki listens to users' needs and offers solutions to the everyday problems workers face. In addition to offering batteries that make cordless power tools as powerful as corded ones, it has created the new Multi Volt series. This intelligent battery can switch voltage from 36V to 18V as needed, because it "senses" the power tool it's connected to. Dual-voltage batteries are completely incompatible, so they can be used with complete safety with all Hikoki 18V tools.
MultiVolt (36V) tools feature technology that allows the tool to operate with half the energy required, thus generating less heat. This maximizes performance, battery life, and the tool's service life. These batteries also offer the advantage of rapid charging, which is very convenient for those who spend long days on the job site.
