DINAMITEK PRESENTS A GUIDE ON HOW TO PROCEED WITH USING THE NEW BOSCH GRINDER
First use of Bosch grinder with Dinamitek
Dinamitek presents a guide on how to proceed with the use of the new Bosch grinder
Proud of your new Bosch grinder, you want to get to work right away, but you face an obstacle: how to assemble the grinder so that the protective hood and disc are in the correct position for proper operation.

Proceed as follows: first loosen the protective cap . To do this, you'll need to open a lever or remove the screw holding it in place. Then, firmly grasp the camera body with one hand and the protective cap with the other. Push the protective cap forward to rotate it; don't worry if you have to use a little force; if you remembered to loosen the screw, you won't run the risk of breaking it. Now that the protective cap rotates, you can position it as desired; just make sure it's fully seated. Once the protective cap is correctly repositioned, both deep into its seat and rotated to the appropriate position, proceed to tighten it by closing the lever or tightening the screw.
The second step is to install the disc . First, you'll need to loosen the ring nut located in the disc's seat; this is done with the specific eyelet wrench supplied with the Bosch grinder. Once the outer ring nut has been removed, another one remains on the grinder's spindle: you'll need to place the disc there. You can then replace the ring nut and tighten it with the second wrench supplied. Alternatively, to avoid using the second wrench, you can use the button located on the protective cap: by pushing it, you can secure the disc, which will then be tightened with the eyelet wrench, the same one used to remove the ring nut.
This operation should be repeated whenever the disc needs to be changed. Dinamitek would like to point out that discs should be changed not only due to wear, but also based on the type of work being done.
Depending on the type of work, a different tool is used :
- Diamond blades [for cutting] are the most common,
- canvas [for cutting and light abrasion],
- with brushes [for polishing],
- abrasive wheels [for the abrasion of high thicknesses].
The diameter of the disc is limited by the size of the machine you are using (you cannot fit a large disc on a small grinder).
The three standard sizes are: 115 mm, 125 mm, 230 mm .

It is recommended to always use good-quality blades. Dinamitek recommends original Bosch blades. Blades made with abrasive compounds optimized for the material being cut are available for sale: blades for plastic, wood, aluminum, and stainless steel, each optimized for maximum cutting efficiency in the material for which they are intended.
In the professional sector , in the 230 mm size, in addition to the specific diamond blades, each having a cutting edge specifically shaped for brick, concrete, stone and granite, they offer so-called universal blades, that is, capable of cutting wood, metals and stone indifferently.
It's important to keep in mind that cloth-coated cutting discs have an expiration date; it's important to make sure it hasn't passed. Over time, the resins used in the disc's abrasive compound lose their initial cohesive power, leading to the risk of breakage during cutting.
Here's a simple guide to help you choose the right album :
- cutting disc thickness 1 - 2 mm
- cutting and grinding disc thickness 2.5 - 4 mm
- grinding disc thickness over 6 mm.
It is always important to remember some simple and basic safety rules when using work equipment:
- Unplug the machine from the power supply before changing the disc
- Always use gloves, safety glasses and a mask when using grinders
- make sure the work area is tidy and free from obstacles
- keep other people at a safe distance during work
