- Polishing a marble floor
- Refurbish furniture
- Polishing the car body
Grinding and cutting
The angle grinder can be used for
cutting : you need a guard that covers both sides of the wheel
molar : an open guard is required (the one supplied with the grinder)
Metalworking
The angle grinder can also be used as a cutting tool, as well as a sanding tool. To change the application, simply replace the disc on the power tool and attach the one appropriate for the task at hand. With the angle grinder , you can cut metal, grind welds, chamfer, and smooth. For a versatile tool, it's best to choose a machine with electronic speed control.

Polishing stainless steel
This operation is performed in 4 fundamental phases :
FIRST PRE-POLISHING STEP with sisal or sisal/cotton accompanied by abrasive paste.
SECOND STEP OF PRE-POLISHING and polishing with cotton accompanied by abrasive paste.
THIRD POLISHING STEP with the felt accompanied by abrasive paste.
FOURTH AND FINAL FINISHING STEP for a professional glossy finish with felt without the use of pastes.
The main precaution not to be overlooked is that polishing must be carried out at low revolutions per minute (RPM).
The first step is used to "eat up" a lot of material, so it's best done if the surface is particularly dull. Mount the sisal disc (or sisal-cotton pad) on the polishing wheel. Apply the abrasive compound to the rotating disc and then rub it into the material. Continue adding compound until the dull patina is completely removed. Now the surface is even , and you need to work on making it shiny. Continue polishing using the same method, but using the cotton disc and the white abrasive pad. For the third step, use the felt disc with the blue abrasive compound. Finally, use the polishing wheel with the felt disc without the abrasive compound and finish by wiping with the cloth. This will remove any excess abrasive compound, leaving the surface perfectly polished and shiny. Polishing marble floors
The following procedure can be used for marble, granite, and Venetian floors. You'll need diamond discs and an M14 backing pad to attach them to the power tool before proceeding. The variable-speed angle grinder must reach 4,000-5,000 rpm to polish the floor. The polishing process is done in stages, starting with the lowest-grit disc and gradually moving to finer grits. Remember to wet the surface as you go. A very dull floor requires a 50-grit disc, then 100, 200, and so on up to 3,000. The final step is done with the white or black disc, depending on the color of the floor.

Furniture restoration

Polishing the car body
To keep your car in perfect condition, repeat the following steps regularly every 2-3 months. Apply the wax with the polisher, working one area at a time.
For scratches, use a special paste that eliminates the nicks . For dents, filler must be used, after straightening the dented area. In sequence, you must taper, apply filler, and paint, first with a rust inhibitor and then with a special metal paint that matches the body color. Apply two coats of paint, then buff with abrasive paste to remove any dried paint particles. For the finish, apply wax.
On damaged and rusty surfaces, before polishing and repairing, you must clean the area with the angle grinder to remove all the rust.
